What Are Platform Fees?
Platform fees are the small percentages taken on bookings made through Fluum when you are on the Starter Plan.
- If you are using the Starter Plan, a platform fee between 5% and 20% is deducted per client booking.
- Events 5%
- Private Sessions 10%
- Studio Hire 15%
- Corporate 20%
- If you upgrade to the GROW Plan, you benefit from ZERO platform fees.Everything you earn from your clients belongs to you, apart from Stripe’s standard processing charges.
Note: Platform fees vary depending on the type of service and location. Moving to Grow ensures no Fluum platform fees at all.
Stripe Payment Processing Fees
Fluum partners with Stripe to handle all payment processing securely and reliably.
Stripe applies its own payment processing fees on each transaction.
We made processing fees more convenient for our paid subscribers: 1.9% plus 30p for GROW plan.
Important:
Fluum does not add any mark-up to Stripe’s fees. You are billed exactly what Stripe charges.
How Payments Flow
Here is how the payment process works when a client books you through Fluum:
- The client books your service and pays online through Stripe.
- Stripe deducts its transaction fee automatically.
- If you are on the Starter Plan, Fluum applies the platform fee.
- The balance is deposited into your Stripe account, ready for payout to your bank.
If you are on the GROW Plan, Fluum takes no platform fee — only Stripe’s small transaction fee applies.
Currency and Client Location
Fluum is global-ready.
When clients book services, they automatically see the prices in the local currency based on their location.
For example:
- Clients in the United Kingdom will see prices in GBP (£).
- Clients in Europe may see prices in Euros (€).
- Clients in the United States will see prices in USD ($).
This smart localisation creates a familiar and trustworthy experience for clients around the world, increasing the chance of successful bookings.
Important:
Your payouts remain in your Stripe account’s home currency.
Stripe will handle any necessary currency conversions and may apply a small additional 1% fee for international exchanges.

Do I need a Stripe account to use Fluum?
Yes. You will be prompted to connect or create a Stripe account when setting up payments. Stripe ensures secure transactions and fast payouts.
Can I cancel my Fluum subscription at any time?
Yes. Fluum is a flexible platform. You can manage or cancel your subscription directly from your Billing page in Settings.
Are Stripe fees included in the Fluum subscription?
No. Stripe fees are separate and are charged by Stripe directly per transaction. Fluum does not add anything on top.
Will I be charged extra for accepting Apple Pay or Google Pay?
No. Stripe processes all digital wallets under their standard card processing rates.
What happens if my client is in a different country?
Fluum automatically adjusts the checkout currency based on the client’s location. Stripe manages any currency conversions if required.
